What is The Eagles’ Nest?

The Eagles’ Nest is JAYBAL’s dedicated year-round player development facility. It serves as the primary hub for offseason training and is also used for team and individual development during the season. This facility has been several years in the making and reflects JAYBAL’s commitment to long-term player development.

Winter Training Memberships

The Eagles’ Nest will open for use January 12th 2026 and will initially be available to players registered for the 2026 travel baseball season. JAYBAL offers travel teams for players ages 9–19.*

Access to the facility during this period will be provided through the purchase of a Winter Training Membership.

Please register your player for the 2026 Summer season at jaybal.com prior to completing winter membership registration. For insurance purposes, players must be registered for JAYBAL’s 2026 Summer season before purchasing a Winter Training Membership.

Winter Training Memberships cost $100 per player and provide access to the Eagles’ Nest from the January opening date through April 5, 2026. Families with more than two players will only be charged for the first two Winter Training Memberships. Please contact JAYBAL to receive a promo code for registering additional players.

Memberships may be purchased through the JAYBAL Swift Sports Management page.

Players with an active membership will access the facility by booking session times through Swift. The daily schedule will be divided into two-hour training blocks, with each session capped at 20 players to ensure adequate space and a high-quality training environment. Players may arrive and depart at any time during their scheduled block.

Players and families may book sessions in advance and may also reserve open sessions at any time, provided space is available.

*Players who are currently 8 years old but will turn 9 before May 1, 2026, and are eligible for 9-year-old travel baseball, may sign up for a Winter Training Membership after they are registered for their 2026 travel team.

Facility Access and Supervision

Our goal with the Eagles’ Nest is to provide JAYBAL players with as much access as possible while maintaining a safe, organized, and productive training environment.

JAYBAL is in the process of implementing a door-code entry system that will allow:

Players ages 15 and older to access the Eagles’ Nest during non-staffed hours
Players ages 14 and under to access the facility during non-staffed hours when accompanied by a parent or guardian from a JAYBAL family with an active membership.

Temporary Access Notice:

Until the door-code entry system is fully installed and operational, access to the Eagles’ Nest will be limited to staffed training hours only. All players must attend sessions when JAYBAL coaches are present. Expanded access during non-staffed hours will be communicated to families once the system is active.

JAYBAL plans to staff the Eagles’ Nest with coaches for 2-3 training blocks per day, Monday through Sunday. Staffed hours will be communicated to families and available for booking through JAYBAL’s Swift page.

Players aged 14 and younger are only required to have a parent or adult member present during non-staffed hours. They may be dropped off at the facility during staffed sessions.

💡 Scheduling Tip – Swift Sports Management (Older Players)

To help streamline scheduling, players ages 15 and older are encouraged to be registered and signed in under the player’s name in Swift Sports Management.

When registered under the player, they will:

Have direct access to the Swift system
Be able to book their own training sessions at the Eagles’ Nest
View available time slots and manage their schedule independently

This allows players to schedule sessions when it works best for them and reduces the need for parents to book sessions on their behalf.

While age 15 is a general guideline and not a hard cutoff, families will choose at registration whether the Swift account is set up under the parent or under the player, based on what works best for their situation.

How big is the Eagles’ Nest?

The Nest is a 60’ x 100’ indoor building that includes a 60’ W x 70’ L x 14’H fully caged turf training area designed to support a wide variety of baseball activities.

How can the cage area be set up?

The caged turf area is highly flexible and can be configured in multiple ways, including:

One large open space for defensive work
One to Four full-length 70-foot batting/throwing cages
Up to 8 Shorter 35-foot cage configurations for station training

This flexibility allows JAYBAL to tailor the space to the specific needs of each age group and training session.

Who can use the Eagles’ Nest?

The Eagles’ Nest will open for use in January 12th and will initially be available to JAYBAL players ages 9–19 who have registered for the summer season.

From January through April 5th, facility access will focus on travel baseball–aged players (ages 9–19). As we establish the flow and operations of the new facility, we plan to expand opportunities for younger JAYBAL players, with age-appropriate programming beginning in March.

If availability allows, JAYBAL may also explore limited opportunities for outside organizations to rent cage space, while ensuring JAYBAL player usage remains the top priority.

Waiver & facility access agreement

Use of the Eagles’ Nest is subject to safety, supervision, access, and conduct policies. Full waiver and facility agreements will be reviewed and signed during membership registration.

What training equipment is available at the Eagles’ Nest?

The facility is equipped with top-of-the-line baseball training tools, including:

What is the plyo ball wall and how is it used?

The Eagles’ Nest features a 20-foot wide, 16-foot tall plyo wall used for throwing development. Players use specialized baseball plyo and medicine balls to work on:

Throwing mechanics
Arm strength
Arm care and durability

The increased wall height allows players to safely simulate long toss indoors, making it possible to maintain throwing programs year-round.

Why was the Eagles’ Nest created?

The Eagles’ Nest was created to give JAYBAL players access to consistent, high-quality development opportunities regardless of weather or season. The goal is to provide a structured, baseball-specific environment that supports skill development, injury prevention, and long-term growth for JAYBAL players.

Having a dedicated indoor baseball space greatly increases availability and flexibility, making it easier for players to fit training into busy schedules. It also allows JAYBAL to fully utilize modern training tools and provide a more efficient, organized, and purposeful training environment.

The Eagles’ Nest was opened through the support of Matt and Mollie Perkins, to help bring this long-term vision to life for our players and families.

Will there still be JAYBAL offseason workouts at the TRAC Bubble?

We currently do not plan to use the TRAC bubble for offseason workouts this winter. All JAYBAL training will be hosted at The Eagles' Nest.
