Cal Ripken teams (ages 9–12) and Babe Ruth teams (ages 13–14) will begin early to mid-April and run through the first weekend of August.
American Legion teams will begin after the completion of the high school baseball season and will also run through the first weekend of August.
🚨 TRYOUTS MAY BE NECESSARY DEPENDING ON REGISTRATION NUMBERS.
✈️ Collins Aerospace employees registering athletes should contact JAYBAL for special registration instructions before signing up.
⚠️ Please Note:
Beginning in 2026, metal cleats will NOT be allowed on Gould Field. This policy is intended to extend the life of the turf surface for as long as possible.
Please review the Travel Team Description documents below prior to completing registration.
Volunteer Requirements
JAYBAL will operate both concession stands throughout the summer and relies on family support to make this a successful and positive experience.
Each travel ball player family is required to cover:
- Two concession shifts (one doubleheader) per season
- Each game is approximately 1.5 hours
- A doubleheader counts as 3 total volunteer hours
⏱️ Volunteer commitment window: April–September
JAYBAL will staff concessions for:
- Jamestown High School (JHS) games
- University of Jamestown (UJ) games
- JAYBAL games
- Amateur baseball tournaments
Your support is essential and greatly appreciated as it directly benefits our players and program.
“Play With Your Grade” Option
JAYBAL allows players born between May 1 and July 31 the opportunity to play with their grade level. This is a slight deviation from the standard Babe Ruth age cutoff of May 1 – April 30 and is intended to support players who are young for their grade.
Eligible families may petition the JAYBAL Board for consideration.
📌 Important Details:
- This option applies only to players born between May 1 and July 31
- Families must review the policy and submit the petition form for consideration
- Approval is not automatic and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis
